usually, but not always, the "gifts of healing" come after the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, which increases "faith" for healing, and the Christian begins to minister to the sick. Few people today believe in the "gift of healing" and practice who have not received the infilling of the Holy Spirit and truly believe in the New Testament message.

Like the other "gift," healing seems to be released with far greater intensity and reality after the receiving of the Holy Spirit(speaking of the baptism of the Holy Spirit).

Some "gifts" have been referred to as "POWER GIFTS":

1. Faith

2. Working of Miracles, and

3. Gifts of Healings

These "gifts" operate in the realm of the physical. (Because of this emphasis on fleshly things, this is why they have been abused). They ae the "gifts" of action which produce signs and wonders. We should desire all "gifts" and allow the Lord to impart to us that which He will.

Acts 4:29-30-Enable your servants to speak your word...and perform signs and wonders through the name of your Holy Servant Jesus."

 

Healing and Deliverance can be done only through the Dynamic Power of the Holy Spirit. Divine Healing is promised clearly in the Holy Scriptures, Mark 16:18-19, 18. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19. I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind in Heaven, is bound in Heaven, and whatsoever you loose on earth shall be losed in Heaven.

James 5:14-15 "Is anyone amongst you sick? Let him call for the elders of the Church, and let them pray over him. anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise Him up. And if he hath committed any sin, he will be forgiven.

 

Healing of sickness, as well as forgiveness of sins, is provided in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every believer. Isaiah 53:4-5 and 1 Peter 2:24.

Christ healed all who came unto Him in humble faith Matthew 8:1-17.  God revealed Himself as our Healer Exodus 15:26. 

There is also a special impartation of the Gifts of Healing through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9).

Sin separates us from God, ourselves, and others. This produces the fruit of fear, guilt, and shame.

When God says in His Word to take our thoughts captive, it is not just a suggestion. He knows how negative thoughts from the enemy can do us harm. (2 Corinthians 10:5). We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the Obedience of Christ.

Meditation on the Word of God develops circuits in the left Prefrontal Cortex which when activated increased a positive attitude. 

 

 

Romans 12:2 You can renew your mind because your brain is neuroplastic-it can change! Think on good things-it's healthy! Philippians 4:8.

 

When we detoxify our thoughts we improve our emotional wholeness.

Every memory you make has a corresponding emotion attached to it, which is stored in your brain and as a "photocopy" in your body's cells.

Emotional Issues: Resentment, hatred, anger problems, fear and phobias, rejection, jealousy, worry and anxiety, insecurity, inferiority complex.

Mental Issues: Mental torment, procrastination, loss of memory, indecision, compromise, confusion, doubt, and rationalization.

Speech Problems: Uncontrolled use of the tongue such as lying, cursing, blasphemy, criticism, mockery, railing and gossip.

Sex Problems: Recurring unclean thoughts and acts. Including fantasy sex experiences, masturbation, lust, perversions, homosexuality, fornication, adultery, incest, provocativeness and harlotry.

Addiction: Most common, nicotine, alcohol, drugs, foods, caffeine, and medications.

Physical Infirmities: Many diseases and afflictions are due to spirits of infirmity.

Religion Error: False religion (eastern, pagan, including, yoga, karate, which are tied to heathen worship.

Christian Cults: All false religion.

False Doctrine: deceiving and seducing spirits, that attack the humanity and deity of Christ.

1. Honesty: One must be honest with himself and with God. Lack of honesty keeps areas dark, and demons thrive in darkness. Sins not repented for gives a legal right to remain. (Psal,s 32:5, Psalms 23,24).

​

2. Humility: One must recognize that he needs what God has made available to him. This involves a complete openness with God's servants ministering deliverance. (James 5:16).

​

3. Repentance: Repentance is turning away from sin. One must fear the Lord and abhor evil. Deliverance is not a relief, but it helps one to become more like Christ. Repentance requires open confession which takes away the demon's legal right to stay. (Ezekiel 20:43, Romans 10:9).

​

4. Renunciation: Renunciation is an action resulting from repentance. When one renounces evil, he is breaking all ties with the enemy.

5. Forgiveness: Godly freely forgives all who confess their sins and ask for forgiveness through his son. He expects us to forgive all others who have ever wronged us in many ways. This does not mean that one has to go close to the persons who have wronged us, it is only for one to know their heart is pure before God and that is enough, not everyone that has wronged one must go back into close relationship with. Willingness to be forgiven is absolutely essential to deliverance. (1 John 1:9, Matthew 6:14-15.

6. Prayers: Ask God to deliver you and set you free. (Joel 2:32).

7. Warfare: Prayer and warfare are different. Prayer is towards God and warfare towards the enemy.  We must use our spiritual weapons which is submission to God, the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and our testimony as a believer. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Ephesians ^:10-12, Mark 16:17).
