In counselling someone, the first thing to be revealed is that one must have an insight into the situation of their problems before going to the counsellor.
What is Counselling?
The origins of
Counselling means to give advice, opinion, and deliberation together, to admonish, recommend, encourage, confront and train.
Counsel comes from the French word, Counsel, and the Latin word "Consilium, the base is Consult, and the Latin is Consultare.
Some scriptural references to counselling:
1. Proverbs 11"14 Where no counsel is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counsellors, there is safety.
2. Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
3. Proverbs 15:55 Without counsel purposes are disappointed, but in the multitude of counsellors, they are established.
COUNSELLING: Some of the biggest or Major Problems that cause break up in any Marriage is a high expectation, in-laws, money/finances, sex, communication, children, and religion in the full sense of selfishness.
